Discovering the Greek landscape


Greece is a popular destination choice for many, with resorts such as Athens, Halkidiki and Thessalonika remaining the firm favourite hot spots on the mainland.

Greek Islands are another popular holiday choice. Corfu, Kefalonia and Kos boast endless sunshine, magnificent views, lush landscape and an array of picturesque sandy beaches.

Ancient history fanatics may like to take a trip up Mount Olympus, while less than an hour away from the main town, the infamous Roman Place, a series of Roman baths and an abundance of beach resorts can be sourced.


Kefalonia holidays are a popular option for parents looking for cheap family holidays. The island itself is home to a wide range of vibrant flowers and interesting wildlife.

The island’s main claim to fame however is the fact that “Captain Corelli’s Madolin”, an iconic novel by Louis De Bernieres, commemorated it.

The coast of Kefalonia is scattered with an abundance of quaint fishing villages as well as many isolated sandy inlets, all of which are great for exploring. Families tend to prefer this area, as they won’t be disturbed by disorderly nightlife. Despite this, there are still many tavernas and discos to keep the older children entertained.
